The development of the Dieselmax engine is typical of JCB innovation. Its simple design – aimed specifically at mid range off-highway equipment – gives it exceptional performance: high power, high torque at low revs, with low fuel consumption and low noise (89dBA).
Four valves per cylinder ensure optimum combustion performance and reduce emissions; the heavy duty bedplate improves rigidity compared to conventional end cap design, reducing vibrations; and the rear gear train technology ensures low noise. It also has two PTOs and is serviced from one side for maximum versatility and simplicity.
Because we started with a clean sheet of paper we looked forward to 2011 and beyond, designing the engine to comply with Tier 2/Stage 2, Tier 3/Stage 3a and then Tier 4/Stage 4 emissions legislation.
